UK fam – you’re in for a treat. A retrospective of noted photojournalist Nat Finklestein’s work will be displayed at Idea Generation Gallery from 1/20/2010 – 2/14/2010. If you’re not familiar with his work, Finklestein is known for his documentation of Andy Warhol’s factory, shooting folks like Salvador Dali and Allen Ginsberg, and being forced to live outside of the U.S. for 15 years due to his political alignment with The Black Panthers. He passed October 2nd of this year, but his work still remains on display on his website, and you’d do well to check the forthcoming exhibition if you’re in London town.

On a related note – Finklestein was also a talented director. Check out a video that he did for a punk band he managed named Khmer Rouge. You can find a nice bit of background info about the band here.
