Ikonika – “Yoshimitshu”

Some of my favorite artists are favorites, in part, because they are exceptional track namers. Ikonika managed to do that several times over on her debut for Hyperdub, released earlier this year. “Continue?”, “Look [Final Boss Stage]“, “YOSHIMITSHU”!! Say word she was up on Soul Blade/Edge/Calibur! Although I don’t think there was an “H” in the name. Maybe I’m catching the wrong reference? Whatevs. Son! Soul Blade was the shit. Remember this Em & Royce track over a beat from the game? O-D. Unofficial, as I think a DJ just dropped some accas over the track, but still.
